Milestones?

Ah yes that would be great! I wish my MIL was like that too!! Lucky girl!! Olivejuice, do we have the same MIl?? Sure sounds familiar!! My boundary sadly this time is that she isn't to come near me until delivery ugh she was a total nigtmare during my last pregnancy as well as our long Nicu stay, hurtful, rude and selfish! Not this time!!

Yeah, I would like for my boundary this time to be for her to come to the hospital after I am out of recovery, or better yet, come to the house after we get home. But she just kind of does whatever she wants. I went into labor 3 days before my scheduled c-section last time, and I was dealing with the pain of contractions the way I wanted to because, well, I WAS THE ONE IN LABOR!! Meanwhile, she was sitting next to my husband who was sitting next to the bed, rubbing his legs and his head and his face! Funny thing is, she got my husband alone a few weeks ago, and brought the whole thing up to tell him how hurtful it was to her, and how ridiculous the noises were that I was making. Ok, like I want this lady anywhere near me when I have a baby this time!! UGH! Sorry, went into a little vent mode!

Oh, I totally forgot! Made it to my 13 yr old's first home football game this afternoon! He sacked the quarterback!!! My hands and feet swelled some because it is still hot here in Texas, but it was so awesome! Next milestone is next Tuesday. I should be having my final ultrasound and visit with my MFM. If all is still well, he will release me completely back to my regular OB!!!

33 weeks today!! C-section date with my beautiful son who is 2.5 years old.

Olivejuice yay for you making it to your sons game woo hoo!!! I remember you mentioning that game a while back!! Ugh it's so hot here in Florida too!! Went for a walk the other day and hands swelled yeesh! Wow your MIL really sounds just like mine! It's so sad because I have such a big close family , I never thought I would have MIL issues, oh well. Let us know how the ultrasound goes. I have a big one coming up this friday, I will be 22 weeks. At this point last time my son was falling behind in growth so this will tell alot. I am scared but hopeful I can post on here as that would be a milestone for me! Bmoremama, yay for 33 weeks!!!

bmoremama, yay! holly, I know, it's kind of surreal to think that a woman who gave me such a wonderful loving man for a husband could be so manipulative. Good luck to us both!! I hope that your 22 week ultrasound shows a big healthy baby! Please let us know!

Just wanted to add...my MIL is a totally manipulative, selfish, guilt-tripping PITA too!! I often wonder how my husband turned out so great. It's definitely a trade-off!

Bmoremama !! You juat gave me a good laugh!! Thank you! Yes, it is just crazy ! Some of theses moms are nuts with their sons, even after they get married I mean c'mon!! Theres no hope with mine I finally figured out. Thats why my husband told her to please not contact me until after the birth. I will not take away from her being a Grandma but that doesn't mean I have to put up with her. My last pregnancy we lived next door to her!!! Ugh no wonder my Bp shot up lol!! We have since moved and what a difference in my stress level!!!

I have a milestone!!! I went for my 22 weeek ultrasound today. The doc said she is measuring about a week behind according to the standard norm, but that he is not concernred at this time. She is almost a pound, blood flow looks great, my bp is great! She is in the 30 percentile range. At this point last time my son was already in the 10th percentile and we knew there was trouble. By 24 weeks he was 7 percentile 25 weeks diagnosed with pre-e and 26 weeks delivered him. The doctor said for my peace of mine as well as his he would like to see me in 3 weeks which puts me at 25 weeks and we'll do another ultrasound. I am happy with this and for the first time a part of me although I am scared is celebrating!
