Milestones?

Not sure how many more milestones we are going to hit. My BP went a little nuts earlier this week, and my doctor put me in the hospital Thursday morning for a 24 hour urine and observation. My BP readings went down to normal while I was resting quietly in the hospital, and my 24 hour urine came back at 100 grams. So, they gave me 2 steroid injections and sent me home to "rest" with the warning that if I don't do what I need to at home, they will put me in the hospital to rest. They also said that they probably will not let me go past 37 weeks, which is about 3 1/2 weeks away. Not sure how I feel right now. Baby looks great, which is good, but I really just want it to be over because I cant even enjoy my pregnancy or anything else.

I know what you mean. People keep telling me to just enjoy my pregnancy and I know they mean well but I am not enjoying this. I am mostly scared off and on throughout the daily waiting for something to go wrong. I am thinking that i should probably stop working and really take it easy but am afraid of the financial strain we'd be under too. I know its best though so hang in there and rest your almost there! Keep us posted!

The not working thing is a big one for me too. I don't really work, work. But I babysit twins that are 2 yrs old. We had originally planned to have them gone from November 1st until after New Years, but adding an extra 4 weeks to that would be really hard. Especially at Christmas. I'm really trying to just let it go, and take it day by day trusting that everything will be ok, but it's hard.

Yes I know and watching one baby is certailnly work nevermind twins yikes!!! That IS work! I am a prenatal massage therapist which also is a physical job! Right before I found out I was pregnant we had been fostering. We had just given our 18 month old boy to a family that was able to take all 3 siblings. After that my husband and I both decided that since I am high risk we should take a break from fostering and really focus on mine and the babies health. I am so glad We did because honestly it just would have been too much now. It'd be one thing if we had children of our own of course but since we don't this is what we chose. Next step may be not working or really limiting work. It's hard and scary but I keep thinking in the end if we get to take our baby home it will all be so worth the sacrifices!

Well, this little guy has surprised me once again! I have tried to rest and have chosen to simplify my life as much as possible. We hit 33 weeks yesterday, and today I had an appointment with my doctor. My blood pressure has gone back down to normal both at home and in the office, and my urine dip today in the office was clean! I have a biophysical profile with my MFM tomorrow, and my OB said that if things continue this well, he doesn't see why we can't go to 39 weeks. That is unless my MFM wants them to deliver sooner!!! SO excited! But not doing the happy dance. NO dancing!

lol ok I will dance for you!! Wow what great news!!! This morning for the first time I actually saw my babies movements from the outside!!! To me this is a milestone because although I made it over 26 weeks with my first, I hardly ever felt a movement out of him the entire time certainly nothing I could see from the outside, its amazing! Please let us know how your appointment goes with your MFM!

Thanks Sam! Holly, SO happy for you! That is an amazing feeling! Baby looked beautiful on biophysical profile yesterday. My BP at the MFM was 136/105, which is not even close to my highest BP ever. It isn't even the highest I have had in their office. But my appointment was with an MFM I had never seen before, and she flipped out. She called my doctor's office, and they were closed,and he was not on call. So, two doctors who don't know me decided I needed to go to L&D for observation. Of course, as soon as I got there, my BP's went back down to normal, and I got to leave in less than an hour. Thank God! Going back to the MFM next Friday and seeing a doctor I know, who is much older and wiser!

Hooray for more milestones! Isn't it amazing seeing those rolling movements!? I didn't feel much with DS, and this baby is a mover! So different.

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow! I can hardly believe it. I'm so grateful.

I have reached another milestone yesterday I am 32 weeks, yay.
