Hi All - I am changing my check in day to Sunday since I am working again on Mondays. I hope you are all well and feeling super-fit this week. I had some stomach issues flare up last week, and I spent most of the week moping about it. I finally forced myself to get to the gym on Friday and for a short swim and some pool play with my daughter yesterday. I totally blew my workout goals, but I started trying to get back on the portion-watching wagon Wednesday. It sort of worked.
Flori - congrats on cutting down the soda. I had to give up soda and coffee in high school to help settle my stomach down, so I haven't thought much about how they affect ttc and general health. My guess is that most things in moderation are probably fine. The caffeine withdrawal headaches and sleepiness are probably not worth any benefit you might get.
Current Weight: 144.4
loss: -0.4 lbs
goal: 139 (just because)
Plan: Make appointment with my doctor to see if I can find a way to eat vegetables again. Try for 5 workouts, even if I am still feeling cruddy.

My Monday update:
Current weight: 204.2
Change: -0.2
Total loss: 3.5
Exercise goals this week: more yoga
Diet goals this week: cut back on coffee
A little bummed about today, but i suspect it might be because my weigh in last week was misleading. Once again, I'll take it.
I did well cutting back on soda. I did have a few cans throughout the week, but much less than usual. I even had a day where I didn't have any at all. This week I'll try to do the same with coffee. What do you guys think about caffeine and ttc?

You can do it! I can't get on the indoor workout machines unless it is pretty cruddy outside. Can you take the dog for a longer walk or do something else fun for a bit of exercise tomorrow? My dog was really excited about our run on Saturday, and I really needed his encouragement.

Nada.. I did some wash and took the doggie out, but the treadmill and elipical and still making very expensive laundry racks... I can make excuses but I just didn't feel like it today. I need to just make myself DO IT and stop making excuses,,, tomorrow is another day and I will do better! I lost 50 pounds before, I can do it again

Val - Congrats on the 2 lbs!!! What are you doing for exercise today?
Me - 144.8 today, down 0.4 lbs?
I've been stress eating, so I need to get a better handle on my snacks. I squeezed in 5 good workouts in this week. I was trying for six, so I will try again this week. I hit the gym once for 45 minutes on the cross trainer, did a one hour yoga class, one hard spin class, one hour+ run, and a good recovery bike ride yesterday. My exercise today will consist of running sprints away from my boss and juggling
Hope you are all well and losing weight!

I agree, just making up your mind to work out is the hardest part. I can normally get going into a pretty good pattern, but if I ever break from my routine, I fail. Case in point? Hubs and I breezed through the first round of P90X earlier this year, then he got sick and couldn't work out. I didn't want to move on without him so I didn't work out either. Fast forward to 9 months later and I'm the same weight I was when we started.

I hoping that the tv will be motivation, I used to only watch tv when I was working out, but now that i can sit in bed and watch tv it is an issue LOL I need to just get the area cleaned up tomorrow and the clothes off the machines so we can start using them. I know I will feel better and have more energy once I start doing it, it is just getting the energy to get started!

Re: Weight Loss Buddies - Fall 2012
One of my friends has a treadmill desk. It is possible to work out while playing (or working) on the computer. I love the TV a little too much, so I can use that as a pretty reliable incentive to work out. I agree that getting back into the habit is the hard part.
My gym and a few others around here are running great specials right now since the fall is so slow. If you were considering joining one with a pool, this might be the cheapest time.
