Finally!!!

Finally!!!

It has been a year since my miscarriage at 9 weeks and I found out yesterday that I'm finally pregnant again!!! :D I haven't been on the boards lately since I didn't have much to talk about, but I'm back! Praying that this is it!!
So, my OB left a message for me today instructing me to get hCG testing every 3 days with a progesterone added to the first test. I'll have to call him tomorrow, but how many times do I have to do this test? I'm 4 weeks right now (conceived Nov. 25-27) I haven't had this checked before but had read about it last year and am glad he suggested this.
I had to tell everybody at work since there are occupational hazards I need to avoid, but my job ends on December 29, so I'm less worried about that.
It is going to be soooo hard to wait until January to tell my immediate family, but I don't want them to go through the disappointment again if I happen to miscarry. I'll try to make it to 8 weeks until I tell them. I'll have a vaginal ultrasound in about 2 weeks.
I just so happened to get my kidney numbers checked about 1 month ago and they had actually improved since last year!

So excited!!!

I don't have experience with the frequent HCG draws, but glad you have a great doctor already being proactive to ensure this lil' bean is growing well! Just wanted to say congrats!

Congratulations! Happy to hear the good news! HCG levels are supposed to double within 48 hours. Levels can vary though. Progesterone is sometimes added to help things along a bit especially if you have miscarried before.

Thanks everyone! I did find that information on the American Pregnancy Association site, very helpful! My first hCG on Thursday was where it should be and my progesterone was more than adequate. I had my blood drawn yesterday (since labs are closed on Sunday) and hope to hear more good news on Monday. My first OB appt. is on Dec. 20, a "viability visit". I'm once again on lots of Folic acid (2g?) and LDA. I'm already feeling the fatigue.

Good news! My hCG levels have been awesome and the first ultrasound at 6 weeks looked normal so far. My OB was able to already see the heart beating!
Next appt. on January 7. I have been exhausted and am relieved to have only 2 more days of work! I may try to get a temporary job somewhere to help keep myself busy ( a less stressful job, hopefully!)
I hope this one "sticks"!
