Lovenox question

I am pregnant again and trying not to be too excited since I have never had a pregnancy go well yet.. I had an ectopic, a miscarriage, and then lost my beautiful twins at 21 weeks in April to pre-e. My local doc thinks I should start Lovenox at 40 mg daily, and I am only 4 weeks so I am very early. They think it could help possibly prevent a miscarriage as I have Factor II Mutation, copy of genes from both my parents. Although my perinatologist thought it might be too early and could increase risk of bleeding if I miscarry or have ectopic. Anyone else know what is typically recommended, or have experience with this? My fertility doc thinks I should start Lovenox early too. Anyone can help me out here with understanding this?

Pregnant again, due September 26, 2013. Praying for a pre-e free pregnancy.

Delivered a healthy baby girl at exactly 37 weeks, pre-e free! Had some hypertension post-partum but resolved with BP meds.

C-section planned for September 5, 2013 at exactly 37 weeks.

My mfm had me start it at 6 weeks after seeing a heartbeat on the u/s. Worked out well in my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies, I do not have a known clotting disorder but I had hellp and our daughter had iugr at 23 wks.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer. I noticed you took low dose aspirin in each pregnancy. When did you start the aspirin too?
Congratulations on your new baby!

Thanks! I started low dose aspirin as soon as I got a positive pregnancy test until a few days before delivery. My MFM actually thought it was more important/helpful than the lovenox.

Interesting to hear what your MFM thought about the low dose aspirin. I have read a few places it may make the most difference for the people who have had early onset pre-e. Maybe that is actually true. We'll see what happens in my case...
