So far so good...UPDATE

Postby whereowhere » Sun Jul 14, 2013 05:44 pm

After having severe preeclampsia last April at 21 weeks and losing my twins, I was given a 60% chance of recurrence. Today I am 29 weeks and 3 days and my BP is normal, and baby is measuring right on target. Hope I can make it to the end without any PE signs. They will do a C-section at 36-37 weeks because of prior fibroid surgery. I have only about 7 weeks to go. I really hope no PE shows as I would like at least one more baby and I will be 41 in November. If PE showed in this pregnancy then I'd feel even more nervous to try again though I know it can show up in any pregnancy after having had it once.

But just thankful that so far things look good...

UPDATE: August 19, 2013 Things are looking great. Still no signs of preeclampsia. I am on the countdown, 17 days to go. I am going to have a C-section on September 5, and I can hardly wait. I am anxious that something bad even besides preeclampsia will happen, but I am trying to stay hopeful that I will get to bring home a baby this time- FINALLY.

Ectopic Pregnancy-2010

Lost my beautiful boy & girl twins at 21 weeks to severe preeclampsia-2012
Mommy & Daddy will love you forever my sweet babies!

Delivered a healthy baby girl at exactly 37 weeks, planned c-section due to prior fibroid surgery, pre-e free! Had some hypertension post-partum but resolved with BP meds.

Pregnant again, baby boy due Sept 8, planned c-section in mid-August 2016. So far so good.
