He has arrived!

Postby sarahkm » Fri Aug 02, 2013 06:04 pm

Hello all,

I'm excited to announce the arrival of Elias Nathanael Morlock on July 28! He was 5# 11oz and 19inches long at birth and HEALTHY! I have had no complications and was out of the hospital in 48 hours. He is jaundiced but didn't need therapy at the hospital. Everything is going very well. Labor was very fast and easy, I barely was feeling the contractions before the "early" epidural. I went from 5 to 9cm in 20 minutes.
My OB did say that there was a tear in the placenta he found after delivery. (I saw the blood in after they broke my water, but they didn't say anything to me about being concerned. There also appeared to be meconium in the fluid, but in the end they are not so sure it was meconium) His heart rate was stable throughout labor. So it was good that they planned the delivery 2.5 to 3 weeks early.

Thank you for all your positive thoughts and prayers! I'll hopefully post a picture later.

Sarah (43)
Mother to Nathanael James born still 12/31/2006 at 38 weeks. Class I HELLP sydrome, placental abruption, acute kidney failure.
Miscarriage 12/2011
Elias Nathanael born healthy 07/28/2013 at 37 weeks 2 days, 5#11oz. No signs of HELLP or preeclampsia! Tear noticed in placenta after delivery.
Expecting again (another boy!), due date 10/17/2015 but will be induced around September 25. No concerns at this time other than low iron. On low dose aspirin, iron infusions, vitamins, metoprolol, Vitamin D.
