Very excited to be at 34 weeks, really can't believe it, schedule csection is just under 3 weeks away! Hope I get there!!! I landed myself in L & D triage on Wednesday... ALL DAY! The baby did great with the non stress test and u/s was good, normal fluid etc... I however would have also passed a NST because my pulse went up to 142 a few times. I explained to them that I have some PTSD, lost my first daughter due to preeclamsia and I think it is just stress related. OBGYN that was on call (not mine) said he wanted me to see cardiologist since peoples body's change during pregnancy etc. I said okay, went to L & D... and waited... bp 123/77 when doc was in the room... doc walks out, machine takes it again shortly later 103/63 (guess I really do have white coat syndrome). Two docs walk in pulse goes up to 142, they leave, back down to 102... I know 102 isn't great, but is much lower then 142. I got an ekg, normally other then fast heart rate, echo came back normal... I waited ELEVEN hours to see someone, and then we signed ourselves out. I just couldn't take there anymore. i was starting to panic, hadn't eating since 7:30am and it was 7pm, hardly drank anything, need my lovenex injection... and there seemed to be no end to the waiting. PLUS my doc is aware my pulse shoots up. So they scared the crap out of me saying if my pulse is that high the baby might not be getting what he needs etc, but the baby was fine during the NST when my pulse was up, so I'm trying to calm back down and keep my pulse down.
My pulse was 93 tonight which is pretty good. I have another NST on wednesday and OBGYN on friday... hopefully they are both uneventful!!
