I'm not sure about the aspirin- I'm sure another momma will chime in with their experience.

I'm so thankful to hear that you are still hanging in there!! I'm keeping crossables crossed the next few weeks go as smoothly as possible!!

So hi everyone, just wanted to come to update... Had a scare at week 33
Bp elevated pass 160/100.

Had to be hospitalized
But u know what... By some miracle... LABETALOL was adminitered... This is something started recently to my rescue of course... So elated...

So here is the thing... I wanna focus on that moving forward because I wasn't sure what to expect.

So was given 20mg of labetalol by 20mg of magnesium sulphate by 10mg of puriton in case any allergic reaction to the labetalol...
Bp went down extremely slowly over a period of three hours.... But it still went up again so another 20mg labetalol was given.. Bp was neutralize first night but still wasn't stable. .

Next night same dosage of labetalol again but was already on 2250mg of methyldopa along with 20mg of nifedipine so the nifedipine was increased to 40mg which caused more bp control... However what was finally done was administer 1000g of methyldopa/aldomet and 20mg of nifedipine every 8hrs which is holding bp at bay hopefully until week 35 which an emergency c section will be the target or by week 37 for an induction which I rather...

But I have confidence my bp gonna hold until week 37. This week I will be 34 weeks so WE are hanging on....

Apart from that i still take the 81mg of aspirin.. Calcium, vitamin d, zinc, magnesium, omega 369, folic acid, iron along with pregnacare prenatal vitamins....

Should the aspirin be stopped at some point? I think I have seen that some where...

I say T minus three weeks.. So the count down is on folks..

Let's continue to pray...
Talk to you soon...

Thanks everyone for your concerns and prayers..

So glad to see an update and that you are hanging in there! 32 weeks is substantial! I will keep all crossables crossed you are stable enough for many more weeks.

Congrats on a boy! What fun!

How are you doing? Is the medication keeping your BP in check? I have been thinking of you and hope all is well!

Hello and welcome back! Congratulations on your pregnancy! It is very scary to go through a pregnancy again after having had PE. The good thing is that you know what can happen and you also know much better what your care needs are and can advocate for yourself in a very different way. I hope that the medication will keep your BP stable throughout pregnancy. The medications that have been prescribed are common during pregnancy. Please keep us posted on how you are doing throughout your pregnancy as you are able!
Glad to hear your little one is keeping you busy :D

Hello all,
old and new welcome.....

i thank you all for you support during my time on here last year and year before.......
Harmony have been keeping me busy so i hardly online so all my online profiles have been starving for attention

well surprise surprise i'm pregnant again au naturale outta nowhere totally unplanned.....even though i was monitoring myself to avoid another pregnancy....

i am begging God for mercy and to spare my life cause this one is another roller coaster....my bp never really settled after Harmony so i entered this pregnancy with existing hypertension....

for now i am only on 1500 mg of methyldopa/aldomet........labetalol is not administered in my country of Trinidad and Tobago located in the caribbean. However, atenonol will be considered....I have entered 14 weeks now which i think is safe to begin the 81mg of aspirin...also calcium ..vitamin D and pregnancy vitamins and so forth...i have done electro and echocardiograms to see how my cardiovascular system is fearing.....

the results next week together with bloodwork.....

i am scared....

but i have God's grace, family, my little one and your people on here to help me through....

look forward for another update on this soon

thanks everyone
