Yeah, that leaky dishwasher happened . . . three days postpartum. We called a repair guy who came and fixed it, 'cause, well, three days after a c-section just isn't the time to be taking a dishwasher apart to fix it yourself, kwim?
Usually, that dripping water sound implies that the kids (4 and 2) are playing in the sink again.
well, crap.
Re : well, crap.
i live in wv where they dont even require ac for the summer months but i think doing dishes helps me think and kinda relax cause i can look out the window and see nature it relaxes me
Re : well, crap.
Brandi, I think it depends a lot on where you live -- every single house in the East Valley in Phoenix seems to have a dishwasher, but when I moved to Pittsburgh they became hard to find. About a year and a half ago I moved into a rental house that had a portable dishwasher that hooks up to the sink, my first Pittsburgh dishwasher.
I took it apart today and it works again now!

well u ladies r all lucky i have never had a dishwasher in any of the places ive lived but at least i cant miss something that i never had right
Re : well, crap.
Bummer. I have to admit that I would be happy in your situation. Our dishwasher works often enough that I can't justify replacing it. It fails often enough to make me really hate it. I hope there is a nice one with a built-in disposal in your future. Those things are amazing, but my standards are kind of low. Dirty dishes in, clean dishes out is a rare occurrence around here.
Re : well, crap.
I have been having the same problem with my washing machine lately. I guess I am going to have to find a rock to beat my clothes on soon. What is going on with these appliances? Must be something in the water lol.
Re : well, crap.
You are braver women then me - mine was out for about a month before Christmas, and I was willing to pay anything to get it fixed!
Re : well, crap.
You make me laugh! Seriously, my dishwasher died over a year ago, and I am still washing those dishes by hand. Seriously, I think it kept me healthier this winter because my hands were always in soapy hot water! We still haven't bothered to replace it.
well, crap.
I'm sitting here cheerfully checking in on the forums and I hear dripping water. Coming from the kitchen.
Excuse me while I go handwash these dishes and bail out the dishwasher.
