It's a Girl!!!

Makenna Elizabeth was born Saturday April 24 at 36w1d via scheduled c-section. I had an amnio the day before and she had mature lungs so we delivered due to her small size and my BP increasing. She weighed 4lbs. 8oz. and did so well!! She never spent a minute in the NICU and after the usual check-up and bath in the nursery, she came right back to my room. It was such a different experience to see my baby right after birth and be able to keep her in my room with me! My BP went down slightly while I was in the hospital and I am still keeping an eye on it at home, but this recovery is SO much easier than last time. I am so glad that we were able to catch things early and that I didn't end up with severe PE like last time. Makenna and I both came home yesterday and we are doing well, although I am exhausted :) I am posting a link to a picture, hopefully it works!
