Update on family friend with early onset pe

Hey guys,

My heart is heavy right now for this family friend i told you about. i just found out that friday night they had to perform a csection due to severe pre e. the baby--a sweet boy--isaac david did not live more than an hour. he only weighed 10 ounces. as i write this i am struck by how serious this condition is. my heart is aching for this family as they deal with losing a precious baby boy. i do not know for sure how far along she was but i am thinking 21-23 weeks or so. please keep clarissa and her family in your prayers and thoughts. i am sending my cousin this website in hopes they can find some comfort from those of you who have experienced similar situations. thank you for being willing to share your most personal experiences and feelings....it truly helps others to know they are not alone. i am hoping even clarissa's parents might find comfort here. thanks again.

I am so sorry for your friend's horrible experience. There are just no words for it.

After I lost my son, I cannot tell you how much it helped me to be able to talk with people who had been through the same thing. thank you for your reply. you of all people can totally relate to what clarissa is going through right now. i know it would be of comfort eventually for her to chat with people who have been through the same thing. i hope she checks this out.

I am so sorry to hear this news, I was realy hoping there would be a better outcome.

I definitely think it a good idea to send this website along. Your family friend is going to have a lot of questions why this happened to her and she will probably be scared to death to get PG again for fear of it happening all over. This is a good support network for that.

Also, I read a book while my son was in the NICU that really helped. It was called "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" You might want to mention to someone closer to this family friend to give it to her as a gift.

I am so sorry for the loss of their precious Isaac. I am glad that she may be able to connect with others here. Being alone in grief is the hardest thing. There are so many here that will be able to listen and offer help during this hard, horrible time.

As i expected, you guys were great to respond with comfort. this is exactly why i hope she will one day sign on and get to chatting with us all. i have passed along the info so it is in her hands. i was also hoping they could hang in there a bit longer so they baby had a better chance. i have seen many of you had babies early in 20 weeks area. amazing. thanks again

PE one month age (One month and 2 days to be exact).

wow, you really can relate. all too much i am sure. i would love to pass on your email addresses but i am actually a third person in this scenario. i don't even know how to get in touch with her. if i ever do i will steer her in this direction. i have given the forum sight to someone that i hope will get it to her. i hope it will not be too painful to check this out. i think it is valuable for us all.
gloria, i hope your meeting goes well. i think it is a great step that you and your husband are taking. my prayers are with you. let us know how you are doing!
