Suzanna, were you a coffee drinker before getting pg? I found when I got pg with Shelby the doc said no coffee, but being a cop and being addicted to it, if I didn't have a small cup in the am, I would get the awful headache, sometimes it is the caffeine addiction that we have!! hope you feel better soon !!

Hey Suzanna,

I am a real fan of oxycodeine! It is safe in preg but, you have to get a prescription for it. I called them my "happy pills"!

Hi Suz,
I have no magic cure for you, but I wanted to give you a shout out and say sorry your not feeling well. When I was doing my massage outreach on pregnant women, some told me they had terrible headaches and after they would get the massage, it would go away for days at atime. Maybe it helps circulation and relieve stress, but at any rate, it might be an idea...Maybe try and see if it works!!! If I was near you I would come right over with my table and work on you[:)] Hope you feel better soon!!!

I do wear glasses, but I had my vision checked before becoming pregnant and it was fine. I know that vision changes during pregnancy, but I would think it would bother me all the time if it was truly my vision.

Of course I am tired thus = stress because of taking care of my other children... but it is no more than usual!

Salt... hmmm MAYBE! I try to avoid salt as much as possible. Eating has been hard because I have continued, unfortunatly, to be sick to my stomach quite a bit. I am however eating throughout the day - small meals.

I am thinking it is hormonal. I take tylenlol and it rarely helps. Maybe I need spring to come so I can be out in the fresh air more often?

Thank you so much for all your responses and suggestions.

I know I'm a weird circus freak- but when pregnant- just about any salt would throw me headlong into a bone crushing migrane- are the headaches coming after eating????

You know, its interesting that they occur at the same time every day. Do you spend a good deal of time reading something, looking at a computer etc...? Also have you noticed any squinting or slightly out of focused vision.

WHen was the last time you had your eyes checked? One way many people realize their vision is off is because they get searing painful headaches that occur about the same time every day. This is becuase of the tension your unconsiously putting on the muscles in your head, neck, and face trying to see better.

It can also be caused by tension, sitting incorrectly at a desk (too low or too high), blood sugar to low (like you haven't eaten enough), which also can corespond with it happening at the same time everyday.

Just a few more thoughts.

I get the same nasty headache if I don't have any caffeine. Then it takes a good warm bath and tons of Tyln. Hope you feel better!!!

I have had a problem with headaches too. Mine didn't start until the second trimester. Now I get at least 3 a week. So far I've found that Tylenol works for mine. If I take it as soon as I feel the headache it works a lot faster than if I wait a while. It always freaks me out though because I associate that feeling with PIH.

I am RIGHT there with you! Mine seem to hit at the same time. Although, as I got into about the 25th week I was waking up with them! They have seemed to taper off some for me, since about 29 weeks or so. KNOCK ON WOOD :)

My only solution was Excedrin Tension. (same as tylenol only with caffeine.) I dont know why tylenol would not help mine. Just needed that extra caffeine to help kick it. When I was pregnant with Will my OB gave me Pain meds. I felt quilty taking these! I have been 'pain pill' free with this one and feel great about that!!!
