Hey Ladies!!
Well, the Texas "Chapter" is up and running. Unfortunately, because of the size of Texas (and because I had to take a paying job), things are a bit slow.
Here is what you can do to help: Find out about any baby/pregnancy related events in your area. For example, I spoke at a Baby Jamboree in Lubbock, and I know Austin has the Baby Extravaganza. These are a great place to start. BEFORE signing up though, I must contact the event, so please do not sign any contracts.
Additionally, contact any NICU's in the area and tell them who you are and that you would love to support mom's. I've found that the NICU nurses are more responsive than the L&D/Postpartum nurses.
Also, I am compiling my lists (I have 4 of them) of all of the registered Texans. I will then send out an email to each region (Houston, Austin, South Texas, DFW, etc..) and try to set up times for meetings.
I know a few of you have emailed me about the doctor list. My regular email is down, so I do not have it available at this time. Give me a week or so and I will reply to your requests.
Take care and email me anytime!
