Pittsburgh Area Chapter - - 1st Meeting Planning

I have emailed the following to those of you that I know live in PA or WV. Anyone else in the area, please let me know to add you to the list.

Hello, everyone! Welcome to the Preeclampsia Foundation's Pittsburgh area Chapter! It is time for us to start planning our first meeting.

PLEASE contact me if you think that:
1) You'd like to come to the meeting , or
2) You'd like to help me PLAN the meeting

To begin with, we need to determine Where and When to have the meeting:

WHERE:
I live in Washington, PA, with is about a half-hour south of Pittsburgh. I would be willing to host the first meeting in my home - - unless of course all 40 of you decide to come. Then, I think I would need to find an alternative location!

Would that be do-able for you to come to Washington, PA?

WHEN:
As it is almost the end of October, we should probably plan to have the meeting in November. I would like to have the first one before the holidays, since I know that everything is crazy during that time.

Would a weeknight or a weekend be better for everyone?

The Pittsburgh area chapter meeting will be held in Washington, PA, at the Free Methodist Church on Glenn Street.

DIRECTIONS:

From the West, take I-70 East to Washington, PA
Take Exit 17: Jefferson Ave
At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Jefferson Ave
Go to the traffic light (by McDonalds) and turn right onto Wylie.
Drive past the Dairy Queen and GetGo gas station.
At the Y, take the left fork.
At the T (beside a small fire station), turn left onto Summerlea
Take the immediate right (some people miss it) onto Glenn.
Go through 2 stop signs to the Free Methodist Church on the right.

From the East, take I-70 East to Washington, PA
Take Exit 17: Jefferson Ave
At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Wylie. (you will be facing the GetGo gas station)
At the Y, take the left fork.
At the T (beside a small fire station), turn left onto Summerlea
Take the immediate right (some people miss it) onto Glenn.
Go through 2 stop signs to the Free Methodist Church on the right.

If you are coming from North or South on I79, take 79 to 70, then follow the "from the East" directions.

The meeting will begin at 3:00. There is no childcare provided, but if you can care for the children, you may bring them. Also, if you can, bring a small snack to share.

Survivors, husbands/partners, friends, parents, medical personnel, prospective parents are all welcome!
