Walk-a-thon set for May 13th, 2006. Anyone interested to help me organize it for Indiana?

I'm always up for organizing something! I know the MOD walk will be sometime around then. We can combine the recruiting! Where's the walk going to be held?

One of the ladies on the MOD committee with me has some job with the White River State Park. I can get her info to you and see if we can work something out for there. We did a 5K there a few weeks ago for Breast Cancer. It was very nice.

Just curious if you had ever come up with a location for the WAT? DH and I are planning on coming down for it. Maybe next year we'll tackle hosting one in the northern part of the state?! After attending yours, I'll have a better idea of what's involved, and should be able to convice dh to help me for next year! If we could get at least one in each of the northern, central and southern portions of the state, we should have a pretty good turn-out, then maybe the year after that we could have several in each portion of the state..and keep expanding. Wouldn't that be great??? I walked in the MOD walk last year, held in Plymouth, and the turn-out wasn't very good. The weather that day was awful though. Maybe I could convince Amy and her dh to help me host a WAT up here for 2007??? [}:)]

I'm up for ideas on where to hold the WAT for 2006. Whosures, if you could check on the White River State Park, that would be great! I could find out from your friend who to contact and how to go about getting approval. We were given a guideline to help us in getting things started. I have to compose a couple of emails and letters to start out with and follow them up with phone calls. For those who would like to be involved and keep me on my toes, would you like me to forward the timeline to you and you can follow along with me?

I got to run, the natives are restless here. Headcolds are still holding :(

I'm all for expansion and help getting this first one started!

Hey Sue, I know what you mean about the head colds...I swear we've gone through 3 boxes of Kleenex this week in our house!! I'd love to see a copy of the timeline, just so I have an idea what all is involved in hosting a WAT. Hopefully Whosures can help with the location, as I'm not familiar with anything down there. Good luck, and let me know if you need anything.
