tests for help

Hello,
New to this forum. I need some advice on diagnosing help. I had some severe pain under right rib for 2 nights which subsided in about an hour. With nausea and headache I went to the ob. He did ultrasound of gallbladder and liver both were normal, with sludge in the gallbladder. Should this satisfy my worries or should I insist on bloodwork? I sometimes have a dull ache, but the sharp pains seem to have subsided.Can the liver appear normal with help?
