I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year. To those of you who are TTC, all the best. To those of you expecting, good luck and congratulations when that special day comes. To those of you grieving and coping with loss, I hope that the new year brings you peace and comfort.
I've gotten orders to deploy this week in response to the tsunami disaster. I've been told to expect 4 months. With a toddler and a terminally ill dog (who will not be here when I return), this could not come at a worse time, but that's life. We all know that at times, life is simply not fair. I try to remind myself that it can ALWAYS be worse. The people we will be helping have lost their homes and families and are facing famine, serious diseases and illnesses. So that's my reality check.
I will try to check in every so often if we have internet. All my best to you all.
