Yeah,
I have to pay $20 each visit since they are a practice which includes high risk specialists.(that was the reason they gave, otherwise it would be $10 per)[:(]
One of the midwives there told me that if I am only coming in for a B/P That I would not be charged.[;)]
I love everyone there, and they have been so wonderful, I feel it is worthwhile since I am in great hands/care.
...And God knows that I took full advantage of thier list of *services* last time;)[:D]
I better stop now...I am getting a little crazy with the smilies[:p]

Great visit
Re : Great visit
I too have to pay co-pays each time I go in - not sure if it makes a difference that I have an HMO. I think that a friend of mine payed them each time and then got them all refunded at the end (wouldn't that chunk of change be nice to have!)
I am glad that your appointment went well. I too started off about 60 lbs overweight and have been so happy about not gaining much this time. The funny thing is that my OB has never said anything about my weight - I would think that they would.

Good visit!!!
I hear you about the co-pays! I don't have to pay for just a weight, BP and urine check, but if I have blood work, a sonogram, an NST or BPP, I have a co-pay. So basically I have a co-pay every two weeks now. I just keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end. [:)]

Re : Great visit
Hey, that's great to hear. Good visit. What do you mean by "HOLY CO PAYS"? You don't have to pay a co-pay every time you go to your doctor while your preggo, do you?
I do (non-preggo), but once I'm pregnant, it's all just sort of covered somehow. I never paid co-pays when I was pregnant with my tons of visits, and I was never billed for them because it was during pregnancy.

Great visit
Went to the Dr. yesterday and had a great visit.
B/P was good, 123/77. That always makes my day.
I didn't gain any weight either, which is good for me, because of the GD and the fact that I am pretty much 60 lbs overweight to begin with.( I watch my sugars and the baby is growing well.)
I asked them to go over my old files about my ACTUAL condition with the last pregnancy.
Apparently I don't remember everything, ...imagine that;)
She said I had the PIH , and was entering HELLP syndrome when they got serious with the induction. Pretty much what I knew.
It was good to get that confirmation. I asked if that could have contributed to the hemmorhage, and she said yes,(the hellp, platelet count etc.)
We both said that things look good for now. I am going back in two weeks for my next visit instead of a month. I was happy about that. then it will be once per week after 28 weeks. HOLY CO-PAYS!
24 weeks and hanging in there!
