Nancy had a serious case of HELLP Syndrome with her last pregnancy. She was monitored carefully and delivered at term. Ron and Nancy also donated the funds to launch this message board and further updates to our website!

Notes from Mom:
Mom and Daughter are doing resting quite comfortably with Big brother Rye proclaiming that he will be the "best big brother ever!". We'll see how long that lasts!

"Our biggest baby yet! I had an induction at 38 1/2 weeks since my bp was high and to head off anything more serious. It was a successful VBAC (yay!) and the fastest recovery I've ever had (I was walking around the next day -- amazing). Annie joins big brother Simon (2) who loves to give her hugs and doesn't know his own strength, and big sister Elisah (6).

I want to thank you for the work you are doing and especially for the website and forum. I gained so much valuable information there during the pregnancy. It is a great place to refer people when they ask about preeclampsia. I intend to send in a donation when we receive our "advance tax credit" this summer (I guess you can consider this a "pledge" :-) Feel free to e-mail and bug me about it).

Baby born one day short of 39 weeks, so it was literally a full term pregnancy this time round. I am proof that it can be alright second time round. I must admit though that the doctors did keep a closer eye on me this time, mainly thanks to me jumping up and down after receiving the support from all the girls here.

It was definitely scary going through it all again, but well worth it. I'm now glad we did it as close together as we did, DD is only 21 months old and loves being a big sister!!!!

Notes from Mom: First child preemie at 28 weeks due to HELLP, second child preemie at 29 weeks due to pre-e, third child -after 15 weeks of bedrest,meds and vitamin supplements, c-section at 37 weeks due to PIH. We are doing great! I went shopping for over an hour 4 days after my c-section, without pain medicine. No Mag makes a BIG difference. I LOVE this website! It saved my sanity and made me VERY diligent in my health care!!!

Status: baby stayed 1 extra day in hospital due to jaundice but everyone is home now and as the doctor said perfect +.

Notes: Went to M.D. 6/23/03 BP up and spilling protein decided to due induction after 4 doses of cytotech (prostaglandin) and 11 hours of pitocin only 65 5 effaced and 2 cm dilated so c-section performed. Don't know what i would have done without the valuable info learned on this website. it has made me much more proactive in my healthvare and the healthcare of my baby. Thank to everyone.
