I just got back online after being off for a day or so...this is very exciting stuff. here i am up way too late to be getting up with a two year old and now this torture of having to wait!!

i am sure your dh will be supportive. please try to calm yourself until you know for sure. can't wait to hear!!

If you turn out to be pregnant, you can point out to Mr. Analytical that a 3% failure rate for the Pill (a conservative figure, BTW) means a 30% chance of getting pregnant every 10 years; over 25 years of fertile adulthood, that's a 75% chance of at least one unintended pregnancy. Put another way, if there are 100 women on the Pill in your graduating class, 30 of them will have had unintended pregnancies by your 10-year reunion. Good luck!

Well ladies, the results are in. First off, THANKS for all of your support. I took the test w/o telling dh b/c I didn't want to scare him needlessly. ALthough now that I have Carol's input I am armed with my response!!

It turned out "NEGATIVE". Although, I am still late and no sign in sight. I wonder if it is too early to tell or not? I bought a double pack, so if nothing by the end of the weekend, I'll test again.

CATHERINE, I agree with you on the superbowl. Not growing up in north america (neither dh or I) we don't get all the fuss. But, I must admit that we love survivor that starts right after!! Of course, all the cool commercials are fun to watch. (Although, before ds was born, we used to use the opportunity to go to the movies as they'd be empty[;)]).

I'll let you know at the end of the weekend how things stand!

I wouldn't exactly stop holding my breath Bonnie.... wait a week and take the test again. Are you on any new meds by any chance? I did once skip a month while on the pill when I was taking INH. I don't know why it happened, I changed over from progesterone only to the combined (was supposed to have done so already at the time) and that solved (in a manner of speaking) the problem.

As for the Superbowl, I'm with you, culturally I was raised on the World Cup. I do love the commercials and after 5 years of living in Boston, I am forced to support the Patriots... "Marry Me Tom Brady"-NOT.

Either way it goes, I'll bet you've gotten some insight into how you are going to feel when you do get/find out that you are pregnant. How did that feel, naked screaming panic or Christmas morning excitement?

I am going to take it again early next week if it still doesn't come. As for the "way I felt". . . I would say it was closer to the "naked screaming panic" than the "christmas morning" feel. I love the analogy!!![:D].

If I knew this early it would be very odd given last time I was nearly 10 weeks by the time I figured it out!
