Fall/Winter 06 Meeting

Okay, since summer is quickly passing us by I thought we'd start thinking about some dates for our next meeting. To be honest, Nov is looking the best for myself, but depending on the weekend I could do Sept/Oct.

I know that we are starting to spread out more with members so location might be up for discussion too. I think we are starting to cross the state some more with the Madison/Milwaukee areas, me in Wausau, Green Bay area, and over in Menomonie (by Eau Claire).

Ideas, thoughts, comments? I'd love to meet up with our newer members as well as reconnect with others. We need to work on the brochure campaign, and I'd like to discuss other possible fundraisers, and next year's WAT.[:D]

I am thinking that Nov. would probably be the best for me as well but I am sure I could swing Oct if needed. I am not opposed to driving so that really isn't an issue for me (as of this moment) I would also like to meet some of the newer members since it looks like we are growing which is great!!! My family is always throwing ideas for fundraisers at me so to get everyones input would be nice. I look forward to seeing everyone again.

I'd really like to make one of these meetings! It seems I always have something coincidentally scheduled. So far Nov. 10-15 is out for me, and Thanksgiving weekend. Other than that I think I am free most of Sept., Oct. and the rest of Nov.

Alissa, I am relieved to see you are still pregnant! How are things going? I haven't been on the boards much lately, although I probably will now that my husband and I are TTC.

Hi Amy! Things are hanging on for me. I officially have pe now although it is 'mild' my protein jumped from 293 to 371, down to 310 and now it is back in the 370's. My blood pressures have been higher than should be considering I take 900mg of medication for it. My swelling is starting to be more noticeable, I have a headache pretty much all day everyday. I am 35 weeks now....this is the longest I have ever been pregnant. Not quite sure what to expect since this is all new to me. We have a scheduled c-section for Wednesday August 23rd at 8a.m. I am very relieved! This pregnancy has been very stressful on me in every way possible so to know that the end is in sight and I don't have to be extremely sick to have a baby is great. I was very worried about that. So now we are just doing last minute things but we are ready and have been for a while. I have never had this much time to prepare before having a baby so I am not sure what to do with myself! I am dialated to 1 and my cervix is thin. Never been in labor so the thought that it could happen is kind of scary. We are not anticipating it but are supposed to be alert to the possibilty. YAY!! I was wondering if we'd have a get together, considering all the new babies! Madison is probably not the most centralized location anymore, but I'd be more than willing to host the gathering at my house. Otherwise, I suggest we meet somewhere between Stevens Point and Portage on hwy 39/51. I'm not very familiar with the area, but it looks to be more centrally located.

I'm excited about the WAT talks. I think I may be up to doing a walk in Madison to compliment the walk in Beaver Dam! 2 WI walks YAY!!!

Kara, I was thinking about possibly doing a WAT up here in Wausau too! We potentially could have 3!!

I'd love to have the meeting a bit more north myself. I don't know if people would be willing to drive to Wausau or not. If so, I'd have it at my place. But if we could get even between Portage and St. Point, that would be awesome!

Jen in Milwaukee would probably have the longest drive. Tho I have no problem driving to Wausau. Let's pick a date, see who can come and then determine the place. November 4th or 18th (18th starts running into the holiday)???? What do you think?

I don't see a problem with either date on my end. Of course it will all depend on if I have a good baby or not;) but pencil me in for either date.
