My first pregnancy was ended early due to preeclampsia. I was 30 weeks pregnant when I suddenly gained 10 lbs., my blood pressure shot up to 195/124, and I had an unbelievable amount of protein in my urine. The only symptoms I had was extreme swelling, and a couple of headaches. Other than that, I had no idea anything was wrong. I ended up being induced four days after being admitted into the hospital. It was a completely unexpected experience. My daughter was 3 lbs. 1/2 oz. and 15 1/4 in. She was in the NICU for 5 weeks. She is now 19 months old and doing great! My husband and I are expecting our second daughter. I am 26 weeks along, so the doctors are being extremely cautious from here on out! Hopefully, we can at least have a couple more weeks of growing before this baby is born!
