I am a previous writer on preeclampsia when my baby was 8 days owe. Just wanted to give an update on my baby who was born at 26 weeks gestation.
She is now 20 months old and is blessed and a blessing. We have some rough times but mostly great times. I am over joyed to say that my 1 pound baby is now 24 pounds 20 months later.
The only complication I can actually say that she has is constant ear infections which is not truely related to the prematurity. My 11 year old son who was born in my 9th month suffered with the ear infections and went through the same proceedure that my baby is about to go through and that is placing the tubes in her ears to prevent the excessive ear infections.
My baby as we call her Teeka is smart, heathly and great. At 20 months old she can count from 1-10, sing any song on the radio, talk well and the whole nine yards of a full term baby. She is still under weight compared to other babies her age and shorter right now, but she is a survivor.
As for me, after the delivery of the baby, I was no longer declared diabetic, but here recently it has returned, but I am believing God for the healing as well as trying to eat properly and excerise. I will be healed.
I am just writing a praise report to let you all know that all is well with my baby and I, preeclampsia suriviors.
Thanks and God Bless.
