Hello, I am the mother of 4 children. My last baby was certainly the hardest
Hello, I am the mother of 4 children. My last baby was certainly the hardest on my body and his. My mother had died May 17,1997 and on June 17th we found out a baby was on its way. A bit of a surprise but never the less loved. I craved CHEESE and I could not get enough of it. In my last 2 months of pregnancy. I had gained 41lbs and with all my other babies only 25lbs, I felt swollen and I had this DULL headache that would not go away. My husband said I started to not make sense. We had figured the stress of loosing my mom and my dad was dying and did die 3 weeks before my baby was born. The routine check ups kept saying my blood pressure was up and I was showing protein in my urine. The day after my dad died I went to the dr and I couldn't see right, every thing was blurry. Well my blood pressure was dangerously high. They admitted me into a private room with no tv or phone allowed. I could only get up for a pee or shower at night. I lost 8lbs the first day in bed. They sedated me for those 3 weeks to keep me calm and I was on a low sodium diet. My son was born but planned c-section. He was 2 weeks early and weighed 9lbs 15 oz and 21 inchs long. MY BIGGEST BABY... he developed an allergic reaction to the hospital gowns and just looked awful. He also had to be under the Billy Ruben lights for 3 days. He was jaundice We both survived, my blood pressure never went back to normal, I still have elevated. I never use to, I use to be low but not after having him and having preeclampsia. That is my story. My son Scott is 7 years old and Such a WONDERFUL little boy!!! We love him to pieces...Neither one of my parents met him but he has both of them in him!!! Joanne
