Hello, My name is Sunshine. I became pregnant with my daughter as a surprise. THE BEST gift ever given to me. Starting at 24 weeks my blood pressure started to increase slowly. My physician being the wonderful doctor that she is, watched me close. At 27 weeks my blood pressure was very elevated. I was eventually put on bedrest at 30 weeks. My doctor wanted to get me as close to 40 weeks as possible. After close monitoring in the hospital and at home my protein was elevated to where she didn't want to risk anymore. I delivered my daughter at 37 weeks after being induced. After 18 hours of labor and 40 minutes of pushing my beautiful daughter arrived and HEALTHY! That was my main concern. She was healthy. We both stayed in the hospital for a week. My blood pressure went down and they we were able to go home. I went to the doctor two weeks later to check my blood pressure and it was high again. My doctor put me on blood pressure pills and have been on them ever since. Although I am sad that my blood pressure never returned to a normal level I am happy my daughter was born healthy and my blood pressure is being controlled with medication. We are planning to have a second one. After going thru the risks with my doctor and knowing what I need to do to prepare my body I am looking forward to another pregnancy. Hopefully preeclampsia free!
