Someone with my story??????

In my 1st pregnancy I had severe preeclampsia at 34 weeks, I had had a c-section. I was on the verge of death by negligence, basically because of my doctors. When I was in the hospital, they said I was not a patient of them they could not find the medical record. After three horrific days in the delivery room found the record and finally decide to deliver my baby by cesarean section. (Obviously after 3 days and was very ill.) Well at last, thank God my baby was very strong and healthy. Neither before or during my pregnancy I suffered from high blood pressure, a had very good and healthy pregnancy. Even though I was working until the day before falling in the hospital and worked eight hours standing up. Now my son is 27 months and I would like to have another baby, but I have a lot of fear that I will have preeclampsia again. Anyone of you who has been there and have successful had another baby? Thank you! I hope someone can help me!

Your story made me want to reply because I, too, had a healthy, normal, no-risk-factors first pregnancy until pre-e out of the blue and delivery at 27 weeks, and then experienced very traumatic, negligent hospital care and follow up out patient care. Although every single pregnancy is different and you need to consult with your doctor, I did have a relatively "good" second pregnancy with PIH that developed at 35 weeks managed with bedrest, and a successful VBAC at 41 weeks, so there is hope for a better outcome the second time around. (I had been given 40-70% risk of repeat pre-e.) My advice is research, research, research, and consult with as many OBs as you need to feel informed. Best wishes!
