When I was 14 yrs old I got pregnant with my first. Being pregnant at such a young age you dont know what to expect. I had no morning sickness I felt great. But when I hit my third trimester, I began to be fatigued and had blurred vision and would see spots.
So at my next doctor visit at 35 weeks, I told my ob my symptoms so she checked my blood pressure and it was 140. So she said I want to see you in 2 days because my blood pressure was high. My boyfriend and I went back to my doc 2 days later and my blood pressure was 145 so she said go straight to the hospital.
Now I'm all panicking because they weren't telling me anything. So we got to the hospital and they started doing tests; they found protein in my urine so they informed me that I had preeclampsia and me and my baby are at risk. So I started crying and by then my blood pressure was at 185 and my blood test revealed that my liver and kidneys were shutting down. I was at risk for seizures so they gave me magmesium and started me on pitocin to induce my labor. But the pitocin wasn't working; I was at 3cm for 3 days then on the fourth day they broke my water. Then I dilated to 7 cm and I've been in so much pain for 4 days so then on the fourth day I got an epidural.
Because I couldn't open up to 10 cm and my baby was pretty stuck trying to come out, they had to do an emergency c-section but I was still in pain my epidural didnt work and I could feel when they started cutting so I started screaming so they had to put me to sleep so I couldn't see my son being born. But at 37 weeks he weighed 5 lbs 14 oz n 21 in :). 5 years later I got pregnant with my daughter. Already being tramatized with my first pregnancy I knew I had to be cautious. With my second pregnancy, I was extremely sick, was vomiting every day and I only gained 13 lbs. But my doctor said because I got pregnant with a different guy I had less chance to get preeclampsia again. Thankfully I didn't and it was a smoother time around but now I suffer from hypertension.
