My first pregnancy at 20yrs. I felt fine. Ante-natel GP check was fine but 2 weeks later a routine check at hospital detected pre-eclampsia. I was 27 weeks. I was admitted to hospital and put on 24hrs monitoring in the hope to prelong my pregnancy. Next morning my face was huge. They were taking my blood pressure every 5min, no visitors or allowed out of bed. Nothing was working and then I started to get confused, flashing lights infront of my eyes and the baby was distressed. Time to be born. Molly Alice was born 7.22pm weighing 1lb 6oz, 29th April 1992.She lived for 23days,at first doing well, breathed for herself. Then infection set in and she was gone. The ventilator was taken away the day after my 21st birthday 22nd May 1992. I'm now 32 and for the past year have been trying for a baby. I'm terrified as the stats show it's likely to happen again. All I can do is keep my fingers crossed.
