My pregnancy went so well until about my 7th month. Then my ankles swelled to the size of canteloupes! My doctor could not detect any problem, so she just put me on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy, which didn't last long. On August 26, 2002, I went into labor. My baby wasn't due until October of 2002. I have never been more scared in my life. This was my first pregnancy, and we were at the hospital almost two months early! My daughter came out okay though, weighing in at 4 pounds 4 ounces. Although she was tiny, she had no health problems. I, on the other hand, began having seizures. A few hours after delivering, my blood pressure bottomed out and then sky-rocketed, causing me to have seizures. When I woke up, I didn't even remember delivering my baby. It was awful. But, all ended well. My daughter is almost a year old now, and we are contemplating having another baby next year. We are scared that this may happen again though. If there is anyone who has had a similar experience, could you please contact me and let me know how your second pregnancy went? I am almost too scared to try again.
