In December 2003 I found out I was pregnant we had just been married in August. We were both quite excited. Unfortunately, I ended up getting preclampsia, a hereditary medical condition that can happen to pregnant women. What made it so usually is I began with symptoms as early as 2 months. This normally affects women in their third trimester. I was taken out of work at four months into the pregnancy. I had gained a 100 pounds and was having problems with my blood pressure and edema, due to the preclampsia.. I made it another month and a half before I started spilling protein, which got me admitted to our local hospital. I was soon transferred to Fletcher Allan in VT and we were told our baby was going to be premature. The question was how early would I be. On the night of May 28th I became extremely sick.
