| Hi, my name is Holly(23@timeof birth) and I wanted to share my story with all of you and hope it helps. My little angle was born on Aug. 25, 2005 and everything was perfect besides having a c-section after 12 hours of labor. Let me start a ways back, I went to every single dr. appointment that was set up, and did everything they told me to do. All through out my pregnancy I had morning sickness everyday all day, it was bad! About my 7th month I just could not take it anymore, I called my Dr. nonstop because I was soo sick, but they just kept telling me it was normal and I would be fine as long as I could drink water. So I dealt with it and tried my hardest to make it through. I went to the hospital at 6:00am to be induced, was in labor all day long and after 12 hours they sent me in for a c-section because my baby was face up. All went well, 7lb 9oz 21in, perfect! I was in the hospital for i think 4 days with the c-section and was sent home. The 1st day I was hope I felt ok, but the next day I started not feeling so well. Really tired, swelling, heavy chest when I was breathing, and headache. So my husband called the hospital and told them how I was feeling and all they said was that I was not taking it easy enough and that I needed to rest. So I figured they were right. The next morning my husband was out mowing the lawn and I was going to give my daughter a bath. I was still feeling odd but kept on going, thinking I was just tired and hungary. Right after the bath I started seeing spots in my eyes and feeling light headed. So I put the baby on the bed and got down on my knees, the spots started moving and my eyes were following with out my control. I had not Idea what was going on, I thought I was going to die! All I can really remember was asking God not to take me from this little baby who needed its mother and then all went black. I woke up thinkging I had slept there all night long, not knowing what time it was or what had happened. SCARY!!! Once I relized it was not bedtime I ran to the window and yelled for my husband to come inside, I was crying sooo much he didnt know what was going on!!!! We dropped off my baby not knowing what was wrong and we should have been in a hurry to get to the hospital, but thinking I just passed out from over doing it too our time. We pulled up outside the ER and my husband got out and came to my side of the car to help and I told him to get a wheelchair it was happeing again. I had the 2nd siezure right in front of him!! He ran to get the Dr. and I went black again. When I woke up, I was in the ER not knowing what was happening or what did happen. They got it under control pretty fast with the mag. drip and the siezures stopped. I was in there for a week with many test and everything else before being sent home with many Dr. visits ahead. Its been a little over 2 years so far and I am still on High Bloodpressure Meds and not looking like I will ever get off of them. Scary stuff, i had no idea what eclampsia was before I had it and its a big, big issue. I hope this helps others out there because your stories have helped me! |
