|Hello! My name is Annette from CT I am 23 yrs old. Over the past yrs I have had 2 miscarriages. I have one beautiful surviving child that is four years old. I was recently 33 weeks pregnant. I had been having really bad headaches so I told the doctor about it. They checked my blood pressure and my urine, my blood pressure was high and urine had protein in it. At that point they had me do the 24 hr urine test. On Friday, October 23, 2009 at 9am I went to drop my 24hr urine test. Then the doctor's sent me for blood work. The nurse said if I don't receive a call is because all the results will be fine. I never received a called so I assumed the results where fine. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 I told my b/f that I couldn't take my headaches anymore. We went to the hospital. At first they said they found the baby's fetal heartbeat but they were going to do an ultrasound. When the doctor arrived and did the ultrasound she told me my baby was dead. I was devastated I couldn't believe this was happening to me. Then they came with more horrible news, I was going to be induced because I was sick with preeclampsia. My b/f and I had no idea what this sickness was so they explained to us. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 @ 10:35AM I delivered Mileena Byrnes. Weight= 2.13 lbs Height= 15in. She was so beautiful. Right now I am so sad that my baby is gone. I think about her every day, wishing she was here with me. The doctor that help deliver the baby told me and my b/f that we should have received a call, he doesn't understand why we didn't. Right now our case is being investigated by the patient advocate, being pursued by a lawyer.|
After surviving a very traumatic first pregnancy with a nightmare delivery (30 hours of magnesium-induced hell, ending in an emergency c-section) and even more debilitating recovery, one would think I was DONE having children. Let's be ...
