I am Jyoti Sharma from India. In Feb. 2009 I conceived after 10 years of marriage at an age of 37 years. It was a precious and happy moment for us. We were having our regular visits to our gynecologist and everything was smooth.

On Sep. 3, 2009, it was my husband's birthday. We visited the hospital and our doctor told us to get admitted as my blood pressure was on the higher side but she assured us nothing is very serious as such.

She told me to be on complete bed rest and if the blood pressure is not normal by noon tomorrow you should get yourself admitted in the hospital. The next day I got my BP checked from the nearby nursing home and it was high. I contacted the doctor and she told me to get admitted immediately.

I got admitted. Except for the BP, everything was okay at that time. Next day they took my 24 hour urine sample and I was secreting 2Grm Protein. They put me on medicine but after 2 days I was showing the high sugar in my blood. I was gaining weight at a tremendous rate. My face and legs had swollen to the extend that I was not able to stand also.

I was told that they were taking every step to control my vital signs but my kidney is not working properly and they have to get the baby prematurely born. I was in shock. I was given steroid to make the baby's lungs mature. On 15th Sep.2009, my BP started touching very high and kidneys stopped working, I had a severe headache in the evening and CAT scan of my brain was done.

I was taken to Operation Theater for premature delivery but my BP was still very high. The doctor put me on rest and in the morning I was operated. The baby was very small 1.325Kg crying at birth. The doctor told me everything is good . Baby remained in NICU for a month, till he was 2Kg and was able to take feed himself. Prematurity also brought hernia with it and he was operated when he was 2 months old.

My memory was very sharp but now it is nowhere. I have to keep notes for important works now.
