Hi there - I am a preeclampsia survivor ( so to speak ) I conceived with my 2nd child and was due to deliver 6/2008. Come 15 weeks into my pregnancy, I began to have symptoms and I was not sure what was going on. I had never even heard of this disease. My Dr. dismissed the fact that it was preeclampsia and brushed me to the side... around 22 weeks I finally went to another doctor on my own and they ran some tests. My protein in my urine was 11,000.00. I had to be rushed to the hospital, and at 25 weeks I delivered my son Cade! He was 6 months old when he passed away. His little lungs did not have time to develop. This is the hardest thing we have ever gone through as a family and I wish this upon NO ONE.

I am now pregnant again - and my doctor is a perinatologist who knows my history so we are praying for a healthy pregnancy. My heart goes out to all who have gone through this.

so sorry for your loss. It hasn't even been a week since I lost my baby girl. I had severe preclamsia, and  my life was very much in danger. my doc also looked over my symptoms. she sent me home with heart burn medicine for the pain I was having in my upper stomach. i delivered her at 23 weeks. This was the most devastating thing to me, I always wanted a daughter. I know god has a plan for everything and we will never understand. If you don't mind me asking, how long did you wait to concieve agian. I want another baby more than anything, but I know I need to be patient and god will let me know when the time is right, congratulations and good luck!
