My Little Angel Everett

Posted On Monday, April 04, 2011  by Errin

It was a regular routine OB appointment, I was running late do to my boyfriend and we were, well I was fussing like usual.  Yet, this time my blood pressure was high. I was told to come back in two days. I get there and my BP was 200/120. Next thing I knew I was being rushed to labor and delivery, when I got up there, all I saw was doctors that seemed extremely nervous.  All I remember was hearing turn off the lights, keep off the lights, we don't want her to seize.  I felt normal and just wanted to get back to work. I heard them ask my boyfriend if I looked swollen, I didn't I looked and felt normal. And, just like that I was being transferred to another hospital. At 25 weeks I was giving birth to my son, with no clue what was going on with me or him I was having a c-section. I was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. My little Everett was born at 1lb 5oz and 11 1/4 inches.  He fought for 13 days and then he went home to the Lord, his lungs just weren't developed enough.  For 13 days I was a mother and it was heavenly. March 23, 2011 I lost my son.
