I  have two daughters, Mia is 4 1/2 and Lyla is almost 14 months.  I got sick during about my 5th month with Lyla.  Terrible nose bleeds, back pain, low weight gain, blurry vision....Constantly going to my doctors saying something was wrong but being ignored...at 31 weeks I went into my doctor for a check-up and was told they were checking me into the hospital....Lyla was showing like a 27 week old and I had a lot of protein in my urine.   That night they told me that they would give me something to help my body get ready to deliver the following morning....Cervidil was given to me and it caused me to start having contraction.  They took the cervidil out and this caused my placenta to abrupt and become 90% detached.  I was rushed in for a stat emergency C-Section with general anesthesia.  Lyla was born at 2lbs 4oz.  She spent 42 days in the NICU.

I was released from the hospital against my wishes still feeling awful.  I was told if I still didn't feel well to come back to the ER. My blood pressure was 170/90 when I was released. Not put on any blood pressure medicine.  I started to get bad headaches, my hands were tingling and my feet could not feel the ground and my vision was blurry.  I was in and out of the ER many times and crying to my doctors but nothing was one.

Finally I went to my General practitioner who ran a ton of tests.  He was the first doctor to make not feel like I was crazy for still having all of these complaints.  The last time I was admitted to the hospital was over New Years 2012, my blood pressure was 200/100.  I was put in the cardiac until and given anti seizure meds for the second time.  I was seeing a cardiologist and neurologist to figure out what was wrong.  Finally I was give the correct diagnosis and blood pressure medication to stabilize my blood pressure.

After three months on the medication I started to feel better. after almost a year since my delivery I am trying to get my life back and that is why I need to be part of this foundation!
