My son was born at 28 weeks gestation. I went to the dr for a routine check up and it was discovered that I have the symptoms of preeclampsia. I was instructed to go to the hospital immediately. They did a sonogram and put me on bed rest. Later that evening, about 2 hours later, I went into a seizure. My son had to be delivered by emergency c-section.

He weighed 2 lbs 8 oz. He spent his first 3 months in the hospital's NICU. The first 2 months he was in an isolate and some days we could not hold him and not even touch him.

He is now a thriving 5 year old. He has a mild speech problem (clearly pronouncing his words), but is healthy and very active. He has had no physical or mental disabilities from this. He has even caught up in size with other children his age.

If you would like more information or a detailed account of the event, please contact me. I am always willing to share my story. It is by the grace of God that he is here today and as health as he is.
