Kaden is my first and only child. A beautiful little bundle born November 10, 2005. He was 6lbs. even and 19.5 inches long. Kaden had a full head of black hair. Here is "our" story............
I made it through my pregnancy with little difficulty other than the nausea. It did not hit me until my third trimester. I started having back pains, which I were told it was my sciatic nerve. Physical Therapy was scheduled for me. I started swelling so horribly that I could not even wear my own shoes! I was told that is normal during pregnancy. My urine was checked for protein and my blood pressure was monitored. Everything seemed to be okay. The only thing that was not done was the blood work. Had the doctor and nurses been a little more educated they would have thought to take blood to check for preeclampsia. I developed full blown preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome. I almost lost my life. Instead, I was saved and Kaden was born sleeping. I lost Kaden full term. He was "born" four days before his due date. My advice to other women is that if you think there is something else going on, then you may be correct. Beg your doctor to do what has to be done to ensure that you and your child(ren) stay safe. Preeclampsia/HELLP are very dangerous and once they attack, it is vital that immediate action be taken. It has only been five months since my son became an Angel. I am trying to learn as much as possible on these horrible "attackers" so that I may try to educate others. It is an experience that I would not want anyone to have to go through. My heart goes out to all of the women that have experienced this and survived and my heart goes out to all of the women that have had to experience this and go on without their Angel's. |
