Preeclampsia Survivor Shirts Raise Public Awareness

Last Updated on Wednesday, May 04, 2011

The Preeclampsia Foundation has recently revised our "Preeclampsia Survivor" shirts. The dark blue, swirled heart design is based on a design created by artist Melissa Muir, who also created our survivor pins.

In Muir's own words, "The heart was created to show the love we hold for our children. The swirl in the upper left portion of the heart is also meant to represent the Preeclampsia Foundation Logo. The sweet foot on the heart represents the impression made on each of us that have been affected by preeclampsia."

The heart logo design was then taken by volunteer Tina Spangler, a graphic designer, and developed into the current preeclampsia survivor shirt.

"These shirt are a fantastic way to raise public awareness about preeclampsia, and give survivors the recognition they deserve," commented Laney Poye, Program Coordinator. "We also made sure to include infant and youth sizes to make sure that even the youngest survivors are recognized!" Survivors can visit the PF Marketplace and order them in any size from Infant to Adult Extra Large.
