Re: placenta research
Congratulations Rubbie! I'm glad they were able to deliver Malachi early and he did well. Love the name! We are expecting another boy and are glad that Elias will have a brother. His name probably will be Jonah or Jonas (shhh....it is a secret), but we are still trying to figure out the middle name....

placenta research
Hi, I just received an e-mail with updates from the preeclampsia foundation and was wondering if there is any need for donations of placentas for research from those who have had HELLP syndrome in the past. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and am doing ok. I will be induced in about 4 weeks and woul...

He has arrived!
Hello all, I'm excited to announce the arrival of Elias Nathanael Morlock on July 28! He was 5# 11oz and 19inches long at birth and HEALTHY! I have had no complications and was out of the hospital in 48 hours. He is jaundiced but didn't need therapy at the hospital. Everything is going very well. La...

6 more days!
Hi all, Glad to hear all the good news lately from all of you! I'm scheduled to be induced this Sunday (July 28) at 37 weeks 2 days. I'm not thrilled with the birthdate (I have a numbers thing) and wish it could be the 29th, but I'm going by my OBs schedule. My docs decided they did not want to temp...

Re: Meds for Hypertension
This is a little late, but I too had problems on Labetelol and it didn't seem to control my BP that well when I had severe kidney disease. I was switched to Metoprolol after 2 months along with Norvasc (if I remember correctly) and it made a huge difference. I think it ended up helping me get off di...

Re: TTC after HELLP (Cross-post)
Hi, Just wanted to mention that I just finished participating in the research study you are talking about. I hope that the info they got from me helped! It was also fun to go to Vermont for the first time and explore! I'm now 34 weeks into my 2nd pregnancy after having HELLP almost 7 years ago and e...

Re: HELLP 7 years ago.. Still Sick. Please Help
I guess my response is similar to Teresa's. Many of your symptoms go along with hypothyroidism so I would still pursue further tests and treatment for that. I was also wondering about chronic fatigue syndrome and/or depression to go along with it. There certainly may be something going on with your ...

Wow! Where do you live? I'm in Illinois and can help you find a doctor if you are in this area! Have you been to see a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist? Have you had any blood testing done with the doctors that you have seen? Have they checked for lupus, thyroid issue, or other autoimmune disorder...
