Re: what symptoms of preeclampsia can be mistaken for c-sect
The pain, headaches, difficulty breathing, and generally feeling terrible can be symptoms of preeclampsia. Did you just deliver? How are you feeling now? Have you called your doctor yet? I would want to be seen for a blood pressure check and some blood work to find out.
I hope you are feeling better.

Re: No underlying conditions?
I also got tested for a long list of underlying conditions after HELLP, and everything came back normal. I asked my doctor about it at my last appointment, and she said that they often never find an underlying condition that causes it. It can be hard to accept that there is no identifiable reason fo...

Re: List of pre existing disorders
Here is one list from this thread: http://www.preeclampsia.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31665 Your doctor might want to do some different tests. This list is about 5 years old, but I think it is still reasonably current. "There are several lists of tests floating around on the various preeclampsia site...

Re: New Mom suffered from preeclampsia
Hi Maggie, Welcome to the forums.I am sorry you went through such a difficult delivery and got so sick afterwards. That is awful. I am very glad to hear that you are feeling better and that things are improving every day. Many of us really struggle to cope with pre-eclampsia and its effects on us an...

Re: Being watched for HELLP
It does help to know which symptoms to watch for. If I were in your shoes, I would call or just go to L&D for any change in symptoms. It is just too scary to risk it, and it sounds like they are expecting you (and hoping not to see you). I know that our medical board considers late onset nausea "an ...

Re: Being watched for HELLP
I am glad you are feeling better than before. Returning symptoms are still scary. Could you be admitted and watched there? Many of us would gestate in the hospital if they would let us. Being in the hospital stinks, but it is sometimes the best place to be. You could get lucky and stay safely misera...

Re: Terrified but baby fever has won the fight.
Hello and welcome. It is normal to feel traumatized after a battle with pre-eclampsia and a traumatic delivery. This site has helped me deal with that, and it was easier after I realized that it is normal to be scared after going through that. You had a really hard delivery. This forum also reminds ...
