Re : after pregnacy w/ preeclampsia

<t>Hello! Have you talked to your docotor? As far as I know, people with c-sections get post partum lociha, or bleeding, like women with vaginal deliveries. I bled for weeks, and am 5 weeks post partum, and still have a discharge. My lochia was bright red and very heavy at first then tapered off. Yo...

Re : Hello

<t>hello and thanks for writing. I developed my PE at 36 weeks pregnant, and I was induced at 37 weeks. It has just not gone away. I spoke to my doctor about seeing a neurologist. She says the most important thing now is to get my blood pressure down. It was 150/97 yesterday, while taking Altace and...

Preeclampsia and exercise

<t>My doctors have told me to take it easy to try to control my blood pressure. I am also still kind of weak on my feet and dizzy sometimes. I was on bedrest for 5 weeks and have only just come off it. I am going for my six week checkup on May 10. I would like to try to exercise if it is allowed. Ha...

Re : Postpartum Preeclampsia Anyone?

<t>I can relate. My obs are really conservative, I was put on strict bedrest and induced at 37 weeks. I was not given magnesium sulfate, and had no idea that was an option. I was not given medication afterwards and was continued on bedrest for 2 weeks postpartum. After 2 weeks and I was still precla...

Re : Hello

<t>I am going to see my regular doctor on Thursday, I have been seeing my doctor every week, I have mentioned the hyperreflexia but he did not seem concerned. The doctor I am seeing this week is a woman, so maybe she will be more sympathetic. I will mention my concern about permanent nerve damage an...

Re : Question of the day: hyperreflexia

I am one month postpartum and still have hyperreflexia, I do not know if this is typical in post partum preclampsia. All I know is that I walk around in a fog, feel dizzy when I am up, and my movements are jerky...I am afraid of permanent nerve damage...is this common?

Hello

<t>I am introducing myself. My name is Amy, and I have preclampsia 5 weeks post partum. I am very happy to have found this forum, and glad to know I am not alone. I have a beautiful baby girl, but have been scared ever since I was diagnosed at 36 weeks. I am still struggling with high bp and hyperre...

Re : Postpartum Preeclampsia Anyone?

<t>I am so glad to know I am not alone! I was diagnosed with mild preclampsia at 36 weeks, and was confined to bedrest on my left side. ONe week later, I had hyperreflexia, and my ob decided to induce me in two days. I developed the severe migranes, I went back to the hospital 3 times with them for ...
