Re : belly button question for c-sectioners

<t>Mine was a vertical c-sec with the top of the scar about an inch below my belly button. I had all kinds of weird problems but that's probably because the incision ruptured 11 days after surgery and had to be restapled. <br/> <br/> Four months after surgery I had an incisional hernia which manifes...

Re : Rattlesnakes

<t>The area where I lived in Alabama wasn't far from the home of the "world's largest rattlesnake rodeo" where rattlers are released-and protected-in the Alabama State Forest so you can imagine the snake population with which we dealt. <br/> <br/> When not sunning, snakes in cooler weather tend to "...

Re : When did you start showing?

I started showing around six months but had Connor two weeks later so the show wasn't much of a show. My supervisor at the time was only three months pregnant and people thought she was farther along than I was.

Re : Anyone else done this?

<t>Back on Christmas Eve, 1992, my cat was hit by a car but managed to drag himself to the foot of the porch steps. <br/> <br/> I heard his cries, discovered him-bloodied and broken-lying at the foot of the steps, and immediately gathered him in a towel and called the vet (small town, not a super hu...

Re : Happy Easter

<t>I wish I could say we had a Happy Easter but my sister died at 10:00 p.m. that evening. She suffered a brain stem stroke on Saturday, March 15, with four more strokes and a heart attack by Monday, March 17. She turned 43 on February 12 and leaves behind a 21 year old son and 4 month old grandson....

Re : Raise ur hand if you ever read your med. records

The most interesting part of mine was "patient should not have survived" in reference to my blood pressure at time of delivery (270/180). Oh yes, it's always nice to read such things about one's self.

Re : After PE -- Arthritis anyone?

<t>Yes Mam: HELLP, Eclampsia, and now RA (which flares in my left hand, right foot, both knees and hips though flare-ups have been few and far between for the past year; mainly occurring with significant weather changes).<br/> <br/> I was told that Pre-E and HELLP are often precursors to autoimmunes...

Re : ?

I gained nearly 13 actual pounds (and a ridiculous amount of water weight in the last two weeks per HELLP) and it was the one time I didn't have a big butt because it all kinda/sorta pulled up front for six months.

Re : For those who don't think preemies can "catch up"

<t>It's so good to hear how other micro-munchkins are growing, it appears as though we're producing a new generation of Amazons (the irony of which isn't lost on me!).<br/> <br/> Connor gained a tremendous amount of weight during the first month of kindergarten and it took me a month to finally disc...
