Re : Labs are in: MTHFR gene mutation

<t>A lot depends on if you are heterozygous (1 copy) or homozygous (2 copies). If you have 2 copies (like myself), it means you got a copy from both parents. When they found mine, my sister was also pregnant. She got tested and didn't have any copies. <br/> <br/> Have they tested your homocystine le...

Re : Creatinine Clearance

My doc typically runs the creatinine test when I turn in my 24 hour urine jug, so yes - I believe they are related, but I'm not sure how.

33 weeks - Trip to L&D and pulled from work

<t>It's been a crazy week here!<br/> <br/> Monday, I hadn't slept much during the night, so I told my boss I was coming in to pick up my laptop and some paper work and that I would work the rest of the day from home. So I get to work, clear out my email & head to the ladies room before I pack up...

Re : 2nd pregnancy

<t>As far as extra monitoring goes, At 20 weeks, I started getting growth ultrasounds every 4 weeks. At 24 weeks, I started seeing the OB every weeks. This week (32 weeks) I started getting NST's & fluid scan's twice a week, which means I also see the OB twice a week. <br/> <br/> While I agree t...

Blood work came back normal!

I'm totally shocked, but very happy. I'm actually starting to think this pregnancy might actually turn out OK!

Tomorrow we have another NST and growth ultrasound/biophysical assessment, which I'm looking forward to.

Thanks for all the good wishes!

Re : Lovenox :(

Yay!!! I'm glad you found something that worked! Mind you - it won't work every time, but you'll learn what parts of your belly are more sensitive than others.

Re : 2nd Pregnancy

<t>I would also recommend seeing a Peri or MFM doctor to run some test for underlying disorders if you haven't already. I would also ask my OB to run some baseline testing - 24 hour urine, liver enzymes, platelets, etc. I would also start taking your blood pressure at home. <br/> <br/> Good luck &am...

Re : Overall feeling of "something isnt right"??

<t>I absolutely know where you're coming from! I have had that feeling since about 26 weeks when the pain behind my shoulder blade started. Just in the last week, I've started having symptoms and I'm absolutely convinced that when the blood work comes back tomorrow that I'll be put out on bed rest.<...

?? re: low blood pressure between spikes

<t>OK... so I have had a number of spikes over the last week - the highest being 146/126 on Saturday. Between the spikes, my blood pressure has been as low as 90's/40's. <br/> <br/> So, today's appointment at the doctor was weird. I gave him a run down of my symptoms - URQ pain, pitting edema, nause...

Re : breech baby

<t>I talked to my doctor about this last week, as my little one was breech at that point also. They said they would not do an external version on me 1) because I'm on Lovenox, and 2) because PE patients are at high risk for placental abruption, and trying to flip the baby could cause the placenta to...
