Re: Had my Baby!!! BP is Worrying Me However. Opinions Wante
If the new OB doesn't know your history of pulmonary Edema and pneumonia after a previous delivery then she needs to be informed. You could call the office and tell the nurse or secretary and explain that your history and current high bp's are worrying you. Or you could follow up with a pcp. My pcp ...

Re: Did your second PE pregnancy "feel" the same?
I think based on your test results and how you are feeling you are justified in being concerned. Absolutely tell your doctor how you are feeling and your concerns. I was surprised when the MFM told me more than once I needed to tell him how I was feeling (it didn't matter to my previous doctor). I d...

Re: Is it wrong to want induction?
It is not selfish to want to avoid getting sick. Avoiding a dangerous pregnancy complication is a smart thing to do. You are already on meds. and at a higher risk to get pre-eclampsia so that makes your situation different from someone who is not experiencing any complications. If you induce before ...

Re: 50 years old
I call our little girl our 25th wedding anniversary present since I was in the hospital on our anniversary (my dh was home sick with a bug he caught from our other kids) and she was born two weeks later.

Re: 50 years old
I had my youngest just before my 47th birthday. I saw a MFM for the whole pregnancy and he got us both safely through it. I have chronic hypertension and type II diabetes. I developed superimposed pre-eclampsia and delivered at 33 weeks. My sweet little girl weighed 3 lbs. 15 oz. and only spent 10 d...

Re: Probably unrealistic but... vbac? Anxiety is killing me.
Glad to hear you are not considering a hb in a high risk situation. It was this statement in your first post that made me think you meant a hb (some women do go to hotels for their birth). "I am just at such a loss as to what to do. Sometimes I feel like I would give anything to run away to some hot...

Re: Probably unrealistic but... vbac? Anxiety is killing me.
Please don't take my question about home birth as an antagonistic question. It's meant in a sincere and gentle manner because a high risk mom delivering at home is a risky thing to do. Viewing a risky option as a good thing can't be helpful when you are already struggling with fears about you baby's...

Re: Probably unrealistic but... vbac? Anxiety is killing me.
I agree with the other moms that you need to tell your doctor how seriously debilitating this is getting for. Ask about anti-anxiety meds. and seeing a counselor. How did the idea of a homebirth with a midwife become such a calming idea for you? Home births are not safer than hospital births. A shou...
