Re: Update: Hospital stay and question
The MFM came over to see me in triage and admitted me saying they were going to take 24 to 48 hours to determine if it was the chronic hypertension or preeclampsia resulting in the higher bp's. If it was the cht, they would have kept me on bed rest at home or in the hospital to buy a bit more time f...

Re: Update: Hospital stay and question
I was a similar situation of being allowed to go home with 2x's a week appointments with biophysical profiles & nst's. I slept in every morning, took a nap most afternoons, and went to bed early. I stopped running several errands in one day. If I went out, it was to ONE place only, grocery store or ...

Re: High blood pressure, no pre e...hoping to connect
With my last delivery, they gave me magnesium to prevent seizures so a vag. delivery was still an option for me.
I would definitely prefer to be in a hospital.

Re: High blood pressure, no pre e...hoping to connect
Mom29, what were some things they did to help you through the full term pregnancy? And were you able to deliver non medicinally...meaning, did they let it come when it was ready? What were the safe guards in place concerning your bp at that time? But no pre e, correct? I've definitely gotten to the...

Re: High blood pressure, no pre e...hoping to connect
This is your seventh baby correct? How far along are you right now? A lot of times bp will become unstable (up & down) before it finally stays high. If you are still bleeding right now I would call the doctor, you don't want to ignore that. Does your doctor know you are taking an herb to help keep y...

Re: Ugggh!!!
Diana, I like your tag line acknowledging the loss of your first child AND rejoicing in your daughter's good health. It makes life sweeter to overcome the difficult things. That is amazing she started out so incredibly tiny and is doing well today! "Miscarriage at 10 weeks (June 2009). DD at 30+0 we...

mom29- I'm so sorry that you lost your son. I can't imagine how difficult that is. And then to have PE and a 33 weeker... My heart goes out to you. Thank you. I think we make a choice between dwelling on the difficult things in our lives or being thankful for the good things. It was hard having my ...

Re: Ugggh!!!
My 33 weeker did not have severe complications, but it was very hard leaving her every night. Some of her nurses were great and some were not. That is amazing your SIL says they had a good nicu experience. Did they have option to stay 24/7? I would have been so thankful to be able to stay with my d...
