Re: blood pressure spikes

Thanks guys! I ended up having to go to L&D today because I started getting a headache. BPs were running as high as 156/96. Pre-E labs were normal I started another 24 hour urine. I see my high-risk doc Thursday who has to decide whether she wants to increase the meds or try different meds. I contin...

blood pressure spikes

Hi everyone. I am now almost 32 weeks! My blood pressure is generally well controlled at 130/80 on 200 mg of labetalol twice a day, but over the past few days I noticed that it's hovering around 140/90 or slightly higher before I am due for my next dose. (typically 2-3 hours before the next dose). O...

Re: questions

The LDA did not prevent my BP to go up at 26 weeks and me spilling more protein. But the blood pressure medication at least keeps my BP down to allow my daughter to grow properly. In the end they won't prevent the preeclampsia, but I am being carefully monitored and I am now 30 weeks pregnant.

Re: so worried :(

My bloodwork is fine for now, my urine is back to 175 (my baseline) so I am to continue the labetalol and do repeat bloodwork/urine at 32 weeks unless something is off and I go to L&D. The doc is considering ster...

Re: question about 36 weekers

We are an exception. My son was in the NICU for 4 weeks. He was born at 36w 4d 7lbs 4 oz, but he developed severe respiratory distress, a pneumothorax, emphysema and ended up with a urinary tract infection. It was quite stressful. But he is the ONLY 36 weeker I know who went through that much. He ha...

Re: so worried :(

Thanks for your response! My labs were drawn on 09/11/11, so it's been a while. I definitely feel like things have worsened rather than improved despite the bedrest. I'll update tomorrow.
