Re : 5k- would you?
<t>The lack of training as a consequence of the modified bedrest would make me extremely cautious regardless of BP issues. Now that you're into your 3rd trimester all that relaxin is softening ligaments and tendons etc. Combine that with increasing bulk and altered center of gravity and I would be v...

Re : New Article August 25 2010 Aspirin
There's an expanding research field looking at the effect of low dose asprin on vascular epithelium and consequences for hypertension. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if this wasn't the relevent mechanism associated with potential protective effects rather than via anti-coagulation.

Re : Breastfeeding and prolactin levels?
<t>Call me a cynic but don't expect your pediatrician (unless an experienced breast-feeding mom) to provide huge insight. I think that they don't often see mothers nurse much past the first 2-3 months and so don't know that much about the physical dynamics. Sadly, 3 kids in, my rule of thumb is "if ...

Re : Breastfeeding and prolactin levels?
<t>One thing that often catches people by surprise is that after a while (and I'm thinking that you might be in this zone) is that as your breasts "settle down for the long haul" things change pretty distinctly. You may notice that they shrink a little, that they seem softer, they don't seem to fill...

Re : struggling right now...
<t>The only thing that worked for me in the middle of the night was to keep saying to myself.<br/> <br/> "Today, my BP is fine, there's no evidence that this baby isn't doing well, I've no headache and I feel OK. Tomorrow is tomorrow but today has been a 'growing and thriving day..an investment in t...

Re : Generic Lovenox
<t>Cindy, the FDA release indicates that they tested it for safety and efficacy in human volunteer trials so I imagine that the generic product will work just fine. If the generic compound is missing a carbon here or there it will likely remain fundamentally the same thing (given the hugeness and co...

Re : Tubes Tied during c-section?
No regrets here. No issues either. Probably lost in the inevitable discomfort post-c-section.

I'm in the North Hills. We should all plan to meet up in Stahlstown at the next promise walk!
