Re: Here we go again.....

The very good thing about your situation is that you *know* what to look for and what it means. I really felt like that was something in my corner in my last two pregnancies. Of course, it was also something to stress me the heck out, too. ;) Almost 31 weeks is good; hoping you can hang steady for j...

Re: Almost Second Trimester

In my non-medical opinion (and really just based on information I've seen here) it is entirely possible that you're looking at damage from your last pregnancy. I never opted for the triple screen until my last pregnancy. It was a lot of undue worry, but when the results came back perfectly it was a ...

Christa, he is PERFECT! What a beautiful boy and a beautiful name. Congratulations. Your comparison of your repeat section to the emergency is spot-on, IMO. I couldn't agree more. I'm happy you were able to experience that.

Re: How to put my picture on my profile.

I came here looking for the same answer. ;) I think I've figured it out. Your photo needs to be a maximum of 150 x 150, and less than 50 KiB. You can use a site like picnik to resize your photo (type in your specific size specs), save, then upload from your computer. HTH!

Welcome! Introducing your moderators!

Hi, everyone. I know most of you already, but for those whom I haven't yet "met," I'm Heather. I'm one of the moderators in the Pregnant Again forum; I'm in my fifth year of volunteering with the Preeclampsia Foundation and am honored to be able to do so. I found this amazing group after my first pr...

Re: an introduction

Hi, Tami! Welcome! Your experience sounds quite scary; it amazes me, still, how often the medical folks don't recognize PE when it's PE (and good on you for nailing it!). Sending you lots of good wishes that the TTC process is short and your next pregnancy will be long. :)

Re: Needing Some Guidance

Just wanted to add my voice to those who are thinking/praying for you and your little one. I can't imagine how horrible it is to be so far from home and your support system while dealing with pregnancy complications. I know you don't want to be there, but everything you've described makes me very th...

Re: 17 week appt.

That's a good update! :) I wouldn't be worried about the weight. Really. I gained the most with my first (which was my PE pregnancy), and it was a lot. I think I gained around 30 with Ella. With Oliver, though, I thought I'd never gain. Each time I'd gain three, I'd lose at least two. I didn't gain ...

Re: Introducing myself...

Hi, Andrea! So sorry someone is just now seeing this! Hopefully, you've been able to get some answers at your appointment today. I would take your bp monitor into the office and calibrate it against the one they use. You'll get a better idea of how it's reading. Second, do you know what your baselin...

Re: Had my doctors appointment today.........

Nah, I think most of us here specialize in neurosis. ;) How are all the standards? BP? Protein? My first was born 13 minutes into his 36th week and was 5.1 lbs. Decent size for a baby who was four weeks early, but still small for 36 weeks. I'm not sure what his growth looked like as I only had two u...
